Expose Me

Expose me to the grounds of depression.

Let the light sink in and grow roots to bloom the flowers of past told lies.

Expose me to the darkness of hate and set me on fire with sticks from a childhood home.

Expose me to the laughter of pain, drown me in sorrow and hold your breath.

Expose me to the sunrise of life, but lead me to the sunset of death, hold my hand as you let me go.

Expose me to the garden of love, then demolish it, close the gates as the last beats of my heart decompose.

Expose me to the sigh of relief as I leave this world hollow and alone.

Expose me to the grounds of depression.
