And believe that I'll actually listen

But what was I to do?

I couldn't make casual conversation

I had no words to say

It was as if there was a barrier

Between the wrods in my head

And the words I would say

So I started to write

And the words kept flowing

A constant stream, unhindered

Finally, people could hear what I have to say

So read closely

Examine the hope of a young girl

Who had no courage for the spoken word

So she used the written one instead
