Expression

Curled lazily but poised at an exact angle of 45 degrees.

Racing spirals of black

From the entrenched depths of the mind.

Interpretation, of the world.

Or is it of the self?

Catharsis, either way.

Slipping underneath expectations and social customs.

Emancipation.

Free-form verse and freer thoughts.

Born from the subconscious and

Revitalized with raw emotion.

Tabula rasa.

Mutual growth- for I too am shaped

By my words.

For what picture is worth

The word expression, the word freedom, the word peace?

It is worth a thousand pictures and more.

For my spirit can only be captured

By ink on paper and nothing else.

Sacred.
