Expression

Maybe inspiration is a fleeting drug that only catches our eyes when they're closed
Maybe in order to really see what we can create, we first have to dream of lands in existence
To create, to dream, to be something new you must first understand the confines of our reality
In order to break through the glass that which we are trapped behind
We must first find the chink in its perfectly layered armor
How can you expect to be innovative if all you do is remember the past
To move past the endings we have all had we must experience and recreate
Not identically, not definitely, you must struggle to create the feelings that you had then
But create them through means that you didn't even know existed
Let the flow of your words, your pen, your brush move through you without ever stopping
Don't question, don't edit, don't even read it
Don't watch yourself work, simply be it
Whether through speech, written word, painted canvas or other means
One must always use the bottled up emotion within you to live vicariously through you
Emotion will take on its own life and leave you expressed
Everything you have ever thought or felt or remembered permanently in the world
Passed through a doorway into the air
