Expression

No one will ever understand,

what music is to me.

Music is the air I breathe.

Songs are the food I eat.

Lyrics are the dreams I dream.

Music is the life I live.

Don’t come near me,

with your designer clothes.

God knows what you did for those.

Always looking controlled,

come on now strike a pose.

I couldn’t care less about what color roses

he bought for you after the show.

I only care if I listen,

to the heartbeat of my body,

singing along to the poetry,

coursing through my veins.
