Expression
It is heavenly; great things portray behind these four walls. It is a place of observation, learning, and also a place of art. The place where the “magic” is made, of the one aspect many people including myself simply cannot live without. This place is the place where music is created, this place is the studio.
The studio I feel completes me as a person, I have grown a quite obsession for this place. To go to the studio and just get away, gives me a perception like no other. Listening to the producer begin to create a beat, at first just observing. Next contemplating on what fits and what does not fit. Trying to find the perfect symbols that clash as the titans did. That perfect horn as if Apollo personally came down from Mt. Olympus and blew the sweet sounds into the microphone himself. Finding the perfect rhythm, the prefect base and knocks give me a feeling so superb my toes curl up in my socks. Inside these four walls is where the true magic is.
Following the completion of the beat then is the deep thought process and meditation on these angelic sounds. Searching for the perfect concept for the song, which would flow perfectly with the beat we composed. Grabbing my little tablet, closing my eyes just for a moment, then in-between those little blue lines I pore my heart out. First coming up with the catchy hook and smiling because I know it is cordial, then finishing the lyrical verses of this song that I always take my time with. Coming up as a child listening to real music influences my music, which is why real music is all I tend to write. So everything that I write is real and comes from the heart.
Out of everything there is not anything that compares to the moment you step in the booth. Putting the headphones on shuts out everything, all the negative sound, comments, the people or anything negative stuck in your head. It is just you and the music. Telling the producer to run the track the top then you spit, putting much emotion in every word, and metaphor. You mess-up of course, because no one is perfect but the track has to be perfect, so you keep recording until the track meets your satisfaction. Finally you finish and you smile and listen replaying your new song like the motion of a tornado over and over. Just knowing when people here it, it is going to rip the city to shreds.
I feel love and real magic when I step inside of these four walls. It is so lax, and heavenly to me, a place of observation, learning, and true art. This place where I am not diffident but I am confident, I experience feeling most at peace as a human being, and means so much to me. The place where “magic” is made, of the one aspect many people including myself simply cannot live without. There truly aren’t enough words to even explain the feeling I get when I step into this place. It is extraterrestrial, I feel as if I walk into my own world where I am poised, a place where I am always happy, always at peace. This place is the place where music is created; this place that is so fond to me this place that I love so much is the studio.
