Expressions of Life

Powerful images, painted on the page with skilled dignity

Fireworks exploding in the ink lines, radiating life in their shapes.

Words and letters woven together to create an intricate basket

That catches your fall.

The spacing and structure,

The tone and theme

Its breath, its weight,

The poem is alive, changing in time with the world.

A true Metamorphosis.

Poetry is:

The grass between your toes on a warm summer afternoon in your backyard.

The snow you can't stand to shovel every winter.

That itch you can't seem to scratch when the colors of autunm emerge.

The feeling of longing whenever you look at the ocean.

Poetry is written life, frozen in time.

Poetry is a blank canvas, waiting for your artwork.
