Exquisite Hysteria

Roses blossom in my cheeks,

A wild hummingbird is

set loose in my stomache.

I fall into the green lakes

that look me in the eye.

I am taken to a warm

place without worries.

Then reality hits me in the face.

I remember the harsh words,

the blank face,

the cold dispair.

Then I fall into the icy lake.
