External Greed

Piece by piece you take away apart of me

but you leave nothing to replace what you took

you eat away at my soul until your flesh is content

but you're not full and I'm malnourished spiritually

You don't see how I'm dying because your greed has made you blind

you only see what you want to see

what's right for you but what about me?
