Extinguished

Fire and water,
How could I love her?
I could not ever!
Together. Us. Steam.

Desire clouding
Entire meaning;
Could be redeeming?
Drowning and naive.

Into dark, sparks die
In the rising tide.
How stupid am I?
Star-crossed, I believe.
