In The Eye Of The Beholder

Awesomeness is neither measured materialistically

nor financially.

Because blessings come in all different sizes

and in many different disguises.

What goes up, must come down.

But this is no reason to fret or frown

because what goes down must bounce

off the barren ground of hopelessness

and rise again into greatness.

They say every man was created equal.

Equal physically but not mentally.

They say imagination is for the young.

But isn't that what drives innovation?

Feats of awesomeness are based sentimentally.

What is awesome to another may not be to you.

But when life gives you oranges,

Eat them with a smile, because there are those in the world

hoping for the peel.

Awesomeness in my eyes?

It is the ability to take what little you own

and transform it into more.

Physically, all I have is my body.

Yet with that , and the pen I found on this sidewalk,

I write to you that every atom on this earth, is Awesomeness.

And you, are a pretty awesome cluster of atoms.
