Eye Contact

Looking up at adults with sparkling eyes,

I wonder what their world is like,

Made of numbers, no colors, no dyes?

I wish not to grow up alike.

Now I look down at childrean with my indifference eyes,

I remember what their world was like,

So innocent, so naive, only smiles,

How I wish to back in time.

But I realized what happened to me,

Was that my inner child has grown,

Although not as bubbly or as naive,

I am glad that I am on my own.
