Eye to Eye

Masking that smile away behind black hijab
the only visible part of you is your eyes
your piercing green eyes are powerful.
It touched my heart
the way you glazed at me like the sun rays peeking through the clouds
I am overwhelmed with your warmth energy
I am drawn to you for some reasons
My mind is full of questions.
We are from two different worlds
I am a deaf woman and you are a muslim woman
We are the outsiders of the main world
The eye glance we had is the only conversation we had
I wish I could talk to you
You will always appear in my dreams
