eye of the storm

i always was the one to outdo,

to overexert

i was the muddy,

brawling,

funny one.

I was not prim or proper

but i knew where i stood.

and i swore i would be better.

i am not the kid you might think me.

i dont have the

perfect grades,

or the beautiful girlfriend,

or anything you might expect

of someone who knows their worth.

'cuz let me tell you;

finding your worth is hard.

and the only way to find it is to fail.

to fail so much you start to

think you're the problem.

fail so much you're ready to give up.

ready to give in.

ready to let your demons win...

but you cant.

Because you have the Fire.

The Fire that says

'I will not take a fall.

never again not at all,

you'll rue the day

you got in my way.'

The Fire that screams

to the heavens in the rain,

'You think I'm giving up??

Think again'

a chest that heaves

and a voice that roars.

no one messes with the

eye of a storm.
