THE EYES

Those eyes
The blue incredible light
It came from the dark
So beautiful from afar
They looked at me
So superior as if
They knew something I did not
Those eyes
No one could ever explain
The power of that gaze
They knew it was the end
The tragedy was ablaze
They saw the lies, the hurt, the pain
Nothing could explain
The heart was shattered
The tears were shed
The hate had won
Everything was done
Now the light meant nothing
The hope was lost
