Eyes

You say you’re not not deep
But your eyes have a different story
They tell me you want to enjoy life and make it funny
You want trust again but afraid of failure
Yet your eyes tell me a different story
You look at me and I see a twinkle in your eye
I think of comets that I haven’t even seen in my lifetime .
I dream of your eyes and their story
Hoping one day they’ll show you their story
the story of you in your moments
The giggle, the smile, the biting of lip, the twinkle in the eye
Tell me their story because it’s your true story
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder because they show a story not a color but a story
