Eyes

My soul is on fire When you look at me. Warm, chocolately gaze Melts my heart See to my core If only I could stare back I've caught your eyes My breath hitches and I think my heart... Stops...But only for a beat Then my eyes disconnect and I blink. Next time I'll catch your eyes And I'll look back... But I'm too insecure I'm not pretty or skinny enough for you So I run away and wish I looked back To meet your sweet, warm eyes.
