Eyes

Location

Eyes tell so many stories.
They tell the wisdom beyond age.
The pain their hearts endure.
The wanting and dreaming flakes.
Loneliness.
Kindness.
Rage.
Eyes tell the past
An open book.
The windows to the soul,
Some say.
I say they are the doors.
Windows shut you out.
Doors can welcome.
Doors feel hands from the outside.
Warm hands.
Cold hands.
The strong and the weak.
Knocking to be let in.
Eyes protect,
They keep out.
The hearts behind the doors,
How much they want to open.
So the eyes can finally see,
Eyes opening back.
A reflection.
All wanting another visitor.
