Eyes

When you talked
You looked into my eyes
Longer than I could look into yours
Golden green
There was something there
Sparkling
Searching
Gleaming
And I wondered
If you saw anything
When you looked into my soul
I wondered if you saw beyond the hazel barrier of my pupils
Please tell me
You saw something more
