Eyes to the Ground

The stars twinkle above her

They radiate their bright light towards her eyes

But she does not look up

The moon glimmers and shimmers the sky

But her eyes stay to the ground

There were days where she was the star

The star that twinkled

And the moon that glimmered

But the light in her diminished

For now she shined as bright as a rock
