Eyes of Home

my present quickly swirls into the past

the feeling of home overcomes me at last.

shades of masquerade envelope the room

flickering shadows setting the castle a gloom.

as the tornado of dancing swarms around me

whisking me out from reality,

the eyes of a vast ocean settle my way,

the warmth of blue enclosing as I’m the prey,

pale and luminous as my ocean may seem,

my thoughts shout that it's only a dream,

though my ocean tries to drown me in its blue water,

farther and farther crawls its tidewater.

drowning me back into the reality of the day,

with him and his ocean now dying away.
