Eyes of the Insomniac

Sleepless eyes of the maniac
Reaching out to grasp reality
Trapped in the mind of the insomniac
Questioning one's mentality

Finding it impossible to breathe
With great fear of instability present
The one's that I'd never meant to mislead
Now stare with a look, unpleasant

Maybe we'll find comfort in isolation
My sleepless eyes and I
Thinking on the situation
My sleepless eyes begin to cry

Falling prey to the tears
One look and strangers know
What's going on upstairs
Happened far too long ago
