Eyes Reflected

There are times when you feel so worthless

That if you dropped of the earth no one would hurt less

And no one would hurt more

If you stepped out the door, stepped out your life

No one was there to hear your cry

Or was there really one?

Like a tree in the forest if there's no one here, am I really one?

Do I really matter to the world around me

Or is it just me in the middle of my surroundings

Sometimes I let my mind sink this low

It's healthy, necessary in order to grow

But problems arise when my mind stays down

Then it turns from blue to 1960s brown

But even there is a possibility

Even there people really see

The true person you are inside

They stop just taking you along for the ride

And they look deep into those blue eyes

And they say I love you, really I

But it's cut like a knife, skin tight, air fight

You wake up from a dream,

stripping your heart from the reality that seems

What your life should be, winter to spring green

But now, life isn't even a bean

But life is a good thing

Happiness and love make hearts sing

Even at times when you forget what's right

Times when your mind checks out at night

And your actions speak a language foreign

Sometimes you don't even leave door part open

And the advantages taken are from no friends

But reality hits in the morning

That's when you start mourning

The regret Instills, the way you treat

Are you really going to put that on repeat

Now is the time, now is always the time

The time to change, find a light in those eyes

Those eyes reflected

With light you no longer feel neglected

And the world wasn't what you expected
