Eyes Sewn Shut / Erasure
Endless suns burning through the air, Shining sons dueling ever, ere, And though their mother pleads, Their poor father bleeds, And ever-more are they unaware.
Tiresome thoughts running in the, Much like their swords, through a single knight, Although the price is paid For the hand of his maid, They care not and keep on the fight. They care not and keep on the fight.
Lo, what a shimmer there! Flow like a river, hair Hue and shade of the bleeding, Bitten lips of the needing, Nervous now, but unenvied; Shaken now, but unstirred....
How can a thought raise a fist to fight? How can a draught erase an empty night? What do the sages say To eradicate day; Why do we give away our right?
Where is the day amongst all this light?
Endless suns burning through the air, Shining sons dueling ever, ere, And though their mother pleads, Their poor father bleeds, And ever-more are they unaware.
