Eyes Shut

The boy rides his bike endlessly uphill While I gather coral in the backyard I'm looking for books, the boy pedals still Librarians can't help but they try hard We throw whipped cream and he kisses it off I'm lost in the hallways of my old school He tries to save me but I only scoff I'm embarrassed--I've peed in the town pool I run from werewolves, but can't make it far My car crashes in water and I die I'm a Power Ranger, the Avatar I leap through gaps in buildings; I can fly My mind so full of ideas it teems, I find my inspiration in my dreams
