In the Eyes of a Viewer
To the eyes of the viewer,
I can be fat.
I can be short.
I can be ugly.
The reflections of their facial expressions.
The disdain, the disgust, the hate, and occasionally, the sympathy.
I travel through a world of lookers, of haters.
Judged by those I pass by, even by the strangers.
Stares pierce through me over and over again.
Like many spears, through my head.
We were the ones who were left behind.
Disregarded by society, ditched by its people.
Left out to fend for ourselves.
Am I really just something to be looked on with the eyes of a viewer?
But there’s one thing that I’m sure of.
Society can’t tell us how to live our lives.
Society can’t tell us how to think.
Society can’t control us.
It doesn’t matter what others think.
Fight for yourself, listen to yourself.
Believe in yourself.
YOU ARE FLAWLESS just the way you are.
After all, you’re not just something to be looked on with the eyes of a viewer.
