Eyes Wide Shut

I met you but I never knew you

I never probed your mind.

I asked you how you were feeling, but never really listened.

I don't know what breaks your heart, Iv'e never seen you cry.

And it made me wonder why?

Because, I never told you about who I was.

I never made myslef vulnerable and I never cried.

Instead, I sat in my own little world wondering how I could meet so many people

I never really knew.
