F5

A mobile, destructive vortex of violently rotating winds

Having the appearance of a funnel-shaped cloud and advancing beneath

A large storm system.

A tornado, that’s me.

Some days I’m a F1 ranging from 73 to 112 miles per hour.

Something has bothered me.

Probably father time rushing me. If not him, maybe it was mother.

So NATURE(ally), I wanted to retaliate.

I’ve got to let someone else feel my wrath.

So I target the mobile homes,

Their incongruity heightened my senses,

The way the draft from an unclosed window does the hair on a forearm.

Yes, I wanted them to feel me.

Feel my pain as if it was their own,

So I graze the top of their roofs with my smaller end, some harder than others.

Granting mercy to few.

Don’t think that because I spared you, that I won’t destroy you in Round 2.

You couldn’t see me coming?

I gave you so many hints.

I thought you could tell by the way my winds rocked your fence.

Anyway,

All it took was one time.

And that one time, was the last time,

And then you left me that very night,

The least you could’ve done was put up a willful fight.

As destructive as I am, did you know that still I pain too?

How could you not accept me,

When I wholeheartedly approved of you.

So I took it up a notch.

Turned my dial up to F3.

Killed a few, the way you did to every emotion in me.

I swore to myself that I’d never let anyone else destroy me again.

I’d just misplace, displace, and erase everything that validated their existence.

Only when I whistle like a kettle and roar like a train,

They seem to listen.

I haven’t revisited our memories in a while.

That’s just not a ticket that I’m willing to pay for right now.

Met someone new a few weeks ago,

He’s a storm too.

But he’s one of those beautiful one’s.

The kind that ignites an unwavering inspiration in you.

He chased me, on a night where I was fuming up with an intention to reach a level 5.

Somehow, someway he eased my mind enough for me to clear the skies.

But how?

He didn’t even know my grays, my winds, my sound

…. My potential to kill.

I guess storms know how other storms feel.

But again, he’s the beautiful kind.

And I’m as unpredictable as the waves of the sea.

Just one question for you:

Why do you still chase me?
