This Face

This Face

That Face

Your Face

My Face

They were so identical for so long and now they drift, epigenetics taking it's long course

Finally

How long have I had this face that we have shared and have lost my identity in

Lost? It was never found

I was an item, part of a thing. A unit. Condemed to a label that I was born into that gave me the gift of objectification in the eyes of all who came into contact with us

I pierced it

I dyed it

I painted it

All in the pursuit of trying to find myself.

Now, finally, I can start to see myself.

Not you  not them, not the label.

Me.

And I am Glorious
