The Face of Happiness

Whether bathed in darkness

Or bombarded by depressions

None are my own, but rather the worlds

Friends and family asunder in grief

A moment of hope if not just one second,

Shining through sorrow like the glistening radiance

Of the sun

An emotion strong enough

A physical attribute constant enough

A smile and the feeling of joy

It cannot leave me, for it was born in me

Happiness shines from me unto my localized world

Pushing others’ sorry memories into the dark.
