face my fears

Location

 Thundercloud

come, make a sound!

to shudder up my spine and bring tears down

in fear…

For I am afraid of what’s inside,

afraid to face my fears.

Lightening, strike!

Come blind my eyes

and electrify my senses

until I shiver at the sky

in fear…

For I won’t admit insecurity,

afraid to face my fears.

it is easier,

to tremble at wind and rain

and that which I can hide from

behind a door,

than to scowl and cry from the hideous

inside that I am finding.

Storm, come!

Rain, pour down!

so I can hide behind these tears

as I am still

afraid to face my fears.
