Face Plant
My eyes opened as my face throbbed in pain
I looked to see my book on the floor
Turing to a mirror to see what I gain
I trembled at the sight of the sore.
There it was
A dark mark running down my face
So long as a snake
I yelped with such pace
From touching what I make.
Then the mark spread
As fire in the woods
Until it consumed my head
Soon it will beg for hoods.
My entire head now aches
So much I cannot pant
So I covered my head with drapes
To conceal this face plant.
