Face On The Screen

Understand where we stand.

You have us thinking someone cares,

When no one did.

I thought you cared.

I stay up waiting for a text.

Simply a text.

We talk,

All night,

Now i wonder are you simply a face on the screen,

Or are you real?

I care more than anything!

I think I am falling,

Falling for a catfish!

Call me childish,

But its just life.

I am done!

Hope?

Hope meant something to me now it is just a word.

Tonight I find out if you are real,

Or if your just a fake.

No make-up no dress-up.

Now I will see you.

Your name running through my head,

All day and night.

I can honestly say,

I think I am in love.

But wait your just a picture on a screen!

How can I be so stupid!

I guess I am just trying to find love.

You promised we will be together.

Now I think you are just saying that to catch me.

Catfish?

Are you happy that you made me fall?

Fall for someone that I thought was real.

Well thank you for making me look so dumb.

Now my walls I higher and thicker than ever.

I do not think I can ever care for you.

I do not want to fall in love just to get hurt.

I am done!

I am running!

Running from love.

I do not want to fall anymore so I can crash,

Unless you show me your real.

Than I will care.

But I will never tell you that I was falling,

For a simple picture on a screen.

You say you love me.

Prove it stop hiding behind your screen!

Show yourself!

Please,

I do not need another heartache anymore.

Others feel this pain.

Think what you are doing,

Before you say,

I love you!

It is not a phrase just to be said.

Catfish can you hear?

My heart,

Aching.

So much for caring.

Good-bye face on the screen.
