Face Value

I see the moments and the smiles

but I know this is your lifestyle.

All the sweet words that were spoken

that made my heart flutter and sweet things to awoken.

Are they real?

Is this how you really feel?

When the camera's off and no one is filming.

When no one is watching and no front is shielding.

The calls aren't as frequent.

The messages less in sequent.

But then a special event greets me

one that twists my mind and sets all my own feelings free.

Then the cameras are rolling again.

Once again I fight to make sure I'm sane.

I have to separate work from personal life.

Afterall, I'm not your actual wife.

Entertainment...that's what our marriage is based on.

Such a shaky foundation should make any doubts be gone,

but your smile still remains in my mind.

The reason for your blushes and seemingly honest reactions still undefined.

This is a show.

All the little moments are just seeds to sow.

We need to captivate attention

and put forth romantic tension.

My heart still flutters.
