Faces

So many things people do to each other far too easily:

Hurt

Cheat

Kill

Because most of the time we don't even see the person we're stepping on

Never mind the flaws and flourishes that exist inside their souls

We look at the garden that is a human being

And while we crush the flowers, we water the weeds

Rarely do we look at a person and see their unresolved dreams and unreturned passions

Their ideas that have come to frution and their thoughts that flicker away in an instant

We cannot begin to imagine the incredible depths of personhood that lurks in each human

To truly see the person that we're hurting would take infiniite lifetimes,

so we need some kind of instant message to our brains

that reminds us of each person's humanity and potention goodness

Therefore, if I so happened to become a God for one day,

with one moment of omnipotence to be used in only one way

I would pass my hand over all humanity,

so the image that one person sees in the mirror,

becomes the same they see etched on each of their race.
