Fact

Fact:

His lips were soft

They tasted like nothing

Fact:

His hands were big

They left no impression on my skin

Fact:

He held me close

And I thought about Spanish homework

Fact:

His eyes are beautiful

And I did not stare deeply

Fact:

His voice was soft

And I was blank

Fact:

I have wanted someone

To look at me

For so long

That when he did

When he stared at my face

And cupped my cheek

And stroked my hair

I felt nervous

I felt aroused

But in my heart

Where I wanted to feel it-

Fact:

I can’t even let myself have this moment uncomplicated

And I feel nothing.

A poem exploring one of the many sides of love experiences, very nice and truthful.

I love this. It is indeed very truthful, I can completely relate to these feelings. I'm so glad I'm not the only one.
