Factory

What makes me tick?

There are no metal gears in my head clicking into place,

churning out thoughts that you can read with ease

the factory settings have been off since day one

or didn't you notice?

I am not a worker bot.

I produce, I create, I enjoy.

Even though my heartbeat is automatic

it doesn't make me a machiene

You can't 'fix' me with a gut-twisting wrench

to change my opinion into your factory made version

This intelligence won't be artificial,

it's as solid as the words you speak and ideas you seed,

just as valid, sealed with MY approval

Sure, I understand, you want what's best -

but best for whom?

Though you give me criticism and pain,

all I can offer you is my perserverence.

Know that I am not your robot, but a flower in bloom

home grown, organic, cultivated

By yours truly.
