Factual

James 3:17

17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable,

gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial,

and not hypocritical.

Factual

How to not try judging

and just state the facts?

How to take my losses and

learn lessons from that?

Is it possible then to render

thoughts … that I'm not feeling

and just putting on a show

because it is appealing?

When I see someone failing

is there really joy?

Do I feel too satisfied

when competition falls unemployed?

Do I help him get on his feet

with one hand while the other

is trying to strangle the cat

who has been a great bother?

Is that envy breeding

within my fallen structure?

Is it darkness smiling

as satan seems to puncture

through gaps in God's armor

as parts were left at home

where I keep them polished

in a safe place … guarded and alone.

I have good intentions

enough to fill a book.

In living up to the intended

I am more like a crook.

Yep, I'm happy in fooling

myself as a way of life.

Disobedience to my Ruler

is my way in strife.

When my lips pucker in service

it makes me feel so good.

I don't need to expand that

that is well understood.

My style breeds satisfaction.

others accept my ways.

Maybe they are just like me

compromising day to day.

As together we stumble in one-ness

Eyes open wide ... direction not seen.

Hands cupped at our ears in listening

for only things ... we want to hear.

In unity we'll live ....  in comfort.

Together we judge without fear.

The ones who are .... not like us

the hypocrites and their peers.

I'm part of the crowd ... that in longing

nailed Jesus on Calvary's Cross.

And in His name I'm justifying

The way that I live ... for God!

Is there no end to my faking

is there no shame left in me?

While salvation is free for the taking

does anyone see that.... in me?

To be or not to be ... is not a question.

It is a simple fact of life.

If I live by my mind's suggestions

"not to be" is a way of strife.

And as life quickly passes

destiny my final end.

"Not to be" will for sure enslave me

for an Eternity without friends.
