To Fade Away

I feel like I'm fading away,

Never to come back.

Wandering forever,

To find the feelings I lack.

Hoping to find them in blades,

Or maybe a gun.

Where’s that happy kid,

The one who used to be?

Well I’ll tell you,

He’s on the run.

From what you ask?

Well that’s a simple answer,

He’s running from himself.

Himself and his life,

He wants no more to do with them.

Constantly he thinks of how easily solved it would be,

How easy to just end it all with a knife.

Why he hasn’t yet,

He doesn’t really know.

Everyday he lives wanting one thing,

To just go.

To be free from himself,

Free from this never-ending hell.

Maybe one day he’ll tie a rope and jump….

And make the world believe he just fell.
