Faded

Vanishing., like vapour dreams Like a kettle's steam are they to me. Those memories of yesterday Like decayed leaves are blown away. Most times it's hard to just forget The pangs and scars yesterday left But to overcome tomorrow's foes You must start to learn to let them go. Like a venom running through my blood Are the pains of loosing those I love It soon may seize breath from my lungs If I don't erase them from my thoughts. Ever since these diamonds left my world I became a city without walls But to break free from depression's claws I must let the faded diamonds burn. It's gone., dusted and done So learn to move on right from where you stopped Your victory song will be cut short If you dare to bring the back to front. Though times they say will never last But the tough and strong will later laugh When those monsters try to make me sad At them I laugh cos they're shadows from my faded past. Like a story which my Bible told Of a new wine and old fading clothes., Same's the fate of those folks with broken souls Who fight their past with bleeding hope. Never put new wine in old wine skin Nor sew your clothes merging new and old silk Like a moulting snake shedding off it's old skin You'll have to let the drowning fairy sink. It's Faded, so friend just let it end there. It's in the past meaning it's now antiquated. The fluxes and flaws you left behind To erase them wouldn't cost a dime. It's Faded, ancient and outdated It's best you let go of that emotional decadence The past is passed there's no need to dwell there., So my friend move on you're now in another Facet.
