Fading

Fading. Every day she is disappearing, so slowly but she's fading. Fading into the background as she sees the world move around her. She wonders where she will be when everything stops and to know that it will stop is what keeps her insane. Sanity is so fragile you see, What does being sane even mean? She does not know but she knows that's not her. She's so strange, eccentric and extremely eclectic but no one sees her. She's so invisible and that's why she's disappearing. She’s screaming "I'm fading". But who cares, the world keeps spinning and no one is truly winning. She is sure of one thing, everyone is fading but they just don't realize that our history is continuously erasing but the world keeps pacing as if we all are going to live forever. She knows better, she knows better and the knowledge is we are all fading. Simply losing everyone so she's not the only one disappearing. Fading, fading, we are all fading in the background and losing ourselves. Faded through being six feet under and no one knows what will happen when time is up. You just fade and she knows because she’s fading every day wondering when the fading will go away but it won’t because everyone is fading either slowly or quickly but it’s happening. The world still is going and she looks in the mirror for a final time, she’s invisible, she faded into another time.
