Fading

Why oh why do I feel this way?

The feelings are strong and tenacious
Tearing at my mind like is some sort dead animal or something
Leaving me in such disarray
And when they are finished
They scanter away
Leaving no trace
Of their recent feast
But I am left in pain,
Totorous  pain
Not the pain that you can see with your eyes
Like a broken arm  or a gun wound to the abdomen
Though still agonizing and excruciating
It is there for the world to see
No hiding it
Depression
You can tuck it away and no one can see it
Shelter it within the depths of your soul
Allowing it to slowly gnaw
At your life.
Cornering you again
I scream!
Leave me alone
But it senses my weakness
My strength is fading away
I am fading away.
Away.
