Fading Far

A time apart,

from where we are.

Getting close,

yet fading far.

Into a place,

that may not actually be.

Only a precious piece,

of what we see.

An image of,

the things we want.

Yet will not get,

just hurt and haunt.

All that we are,

in this world or the next.

Over what we could never,

force ourselves to forget.
