Fading Flowers
Dear love,
As time passed, the flowers faded
and so did our conversations
only meaningless words flowed
I looked for the same sparkle I once saw
in your eyes as you reflected vulnerability
the sparkle had faded
leaving a dull glaze
My urge to explore the earth's wonders
swim in the mysterious waterfalls
lay in the long grass full of secrets
I had that same urge with you
to see your deepest thoughts
to hear your dreams
