Fading Love

Begone the days of happiness once shared,

And sorrow hath replaced our once strong tie,

Alas the time when feelings always paired,

Doth love be always fleeting in thine eye?

Twas left with nothing but my broken heart

And remnants of our life now turned to dust,

It seems unfair the way we broke apart,

Our empty love it seems was only lust.

But maybe I can live without your love,

For you do not love I as I loved thee,

Though thou can be compared to a white dove,

Thy beauty and thy grace as vast as sea.

I know I must move on and let thee be,

For I can live without thy company.
