Fading Memories

If I fell into this hole, would you save me?
Would you catch me before I fell too far?
Would you catch me before I even fell?
I find it strange, I dont remember waking this way.
The sun feels different on my back.
It shines differently upon my face.
The stars seem much brighter.
Is this the world I am from?
Or a world I created?
Everything about this place is so curious.
How the grass feels beneath me as I run.
The voices I hear.
The feelings that flood me.
I have been here before.
But I cant remember why or when.
Will I ever see you again?
Will I ever hold you again?
This is not hell, that I know.
This world is slowly fading my memories, into a darkness I cant see through.
This world is now my home.
As strange
As peculiar
As unsure as it seems, I know I am meant to be here.
I know this is where I belong.
With no memories
Of you.
