Failed Misanthropy (Part 7: Hayley & Kirk)

They transcend chorals and scales.

Above the baritone, below the soprano.

Their fingers move in synchronicity,

in tandem,

with love.

The contrast of his striking tenor to her lilting alto.

The rasp in their breath subtly contributes to the ethereal sound.

They create their own notes,

their own harmony with unmatched creativity.

Anticipating the beauteous majesty erupting from their throats.

Though the words are not their own,

they both lay claim to the feelings they emote.

The notes always in their personal key.

That key to their freedom,

to their escape,

to their identity.

Loving the way their voices intertwine.

Loving the way they…

lie.
