The Failed Mission

I have been stupid.
Because I grew attached to you.
Ever since the first day,
This was a mistake.
Him being the teacher,
And me, just being the pupil.

I have made a huge mistake
By stepping in your way.
Not that I regret this great adventure,
But I feel it is getting close to an end.
Please stay away from me.
Leave me and be free.

I have tried so hard,
But forgot to stay on guard.
I am dying to see you smile,
Although I see that as a torture.
So I have an order,
It is to leave you behind by miles.

I have ran away as an attempt to escape.
However, our memories play in my mind like a videotape.
Despite how many times I try to make it stop,
You come in like a cop.
A cop who inspects everything around,
And hugs me whispering me to "calm down".

I have failed the 'mission'.
For I have learned to love him with no condition.
Friends might look at me with suspicion,
But they should know I do not need their permission.
Because I will still think about him until death,
Even if he already flew away.
