Failure

Perhaps there was not enough effort Perhaps there was not enough skill Maybe there were too many mistakes Maybe we ran the wrong drill Perhaps we didn’t take enough risks Perhaps too many were taken Maybe our hearts weren’t in it Maybe I am mistaken Perhaps we did not work together Perhaps we had little communication Maybe it was the coach Maybe we lacked in collaboration Perhaps our plays were unsuccessful Perhaps we thought it would be a piece of cake Maybe we got ahead of ourselves Maybe we decided to break Perhaps it was no one’s fault at all Perhaps we gave it our best Maybe that just was not good enough Maybe we can give our worries a rest Perhaps it was just not our day Perhaps we need failure in order to succeed Maybe next time we will do better Maybe this can be agreed

Good poem. Sometimes you have to fail in order to succeed.
