Failure

I listen, I fight, I cry

Where is the justice in this life?

I think, maybe it's me,

Maybe I'm not yet who I am supposed to be

To be perfect, to be right, to be everything the Lord sees on high.

I begin to wonder, why me?

Then I think, when will it ever end?

The more I think and think,

The more I know I'm as sad as I could possibly be.

I feel so lame, like the poor dumb sheep

Such a failure to everyone that appears to me,

Such a failure to my Father who is higher than me.
